The mermaid story is The Little Mermaid, not the Disney movie, but similar. The little mermaids the sea kings daughter who, at the age of 15, goes up to the surface and sees a prince, falling in love at first sight. The little mermaid saves him when a storm hits and takes him to a temple where she waits until a girl finds him. The little mermaid can't forget about the prince and goes to the sea witch who gives her legs at the price of her voice. The conditions were that 1) her feet will constantly feel like she is walking on broken glass 2)She can no longer return to the sea and 3) she will only obtain a soul if she kisses her true love, otherwise, she will disintegrate into sea foam and die the day after her true love marries another woman. The little mermaid meets the prince and he is enchanted by her though she is now mute. He likes seeing her dance so she would dance even though it caused her feet immense pain. The prince's dad tells the prince that he must marry the princess of a neighboring kingdom, but the prince says he only wishes to marry the temple girl who saved him from the storm, not realizing it wasnt the temple girl who saved him but the little mermaid. Turns out the princess was the temple girl and so they fall in love and get married. The little mermaid is heartbroken and dreads her death at dawn, but her sisters come and hands her a knife they received from the sea witch in exchange for their hair. If the little mermaid stabs the prince in the heart with the knife and lets his blood drop on her feet, she can go back to being a mermaid and her suffering will end. However, the little mermaid cannot bring herself to kill the man she loves and so she throws herself into the water at dawn and she turns into foam.
