Chilbong ❤

Well it is not actually about Chilbong character in Reply 1994, but I used the Chilbong name as the term for second-male lead syndrome. First I will tell the Chilbong character itself that are often found in many korean drama.

In Reply 1994, Chilbong always have his eyes for Najung. Treat Najung really well and in fact he also confess to Najung. But Najung only have her eyes for Trash Oppa. 

Chilbong was really a lovely character (also Trash oppa), he also can be considered as Najung's Guardian of Angel, which is the strong trait of all second-male lead syndrome in drama. 

Butttt almost all this the actor that played the same character like Chilbong in other korean drama get massive love from the viewer.

Many other character like Chilbong that make people cry and frustrated when the female lead is not with them in the end of drama.
